The majority of our wool comes from our own two flocks of currently over 150 sheep in 2003 and with lambing ... growing all the time! We also purchase handpicked fleeces from local spinsters' flocks.

We pride ourselves in using only American grown wool from sheep we know and that are raised for the handspinner in mind.

We do not coat our animals. In our climate, we do not feel it is comfortable for our sheep to wear coats. Nor do we use acids to "burn" out vegetable matter. The use of acid could weaken the fiber.

Different breeds have their own texture. We love this variety of spinning textures. We have "designer" flocks, because we like different kinds of wool for different projects. We do not over process our wool, which helps preserve these wonderful difference.

The majority of our blends combine wool with various exotic fiber including Bombyx and Tussah silk, silk noil, Tencel, and Rayon. We hand-dye silk caps, silk roving, and silk noil roving. We also manufacture comfort-grip handcombs and hand spindles.
